About the Species
Athletically-built, medium-sized antelope. Three distinct social groups can be observed: the territorial males, bachelor herds and female herds. Active mainly during the day, the impala may be gregarious or territorial depending upon the climate and geography.
About the Hunt
Impala are not big antelope but can prove to be very difficult to bring down if shots are not executed 100%. When judging the trophy quality of males, always look at the base of the horn, ensure they are dark black and hard, then look at the shape and the overall length.
Habitat
The impala is found in woodlands and sometimes on the interface between woodlands and Savannah's. Places close to water sources are preferred.
