About the Species
The Rusa deer is dark blackish brown. Its back is almost black, the underparts and inner thighs are yellowish brown. The abdomen is lighter brown, and the tail tuft is dark blackish brown. The hair is coarse and longer on the chest than on the remaining body. Its ears are wide and a little shorter than the head.
About the Hunt
Regarding the choice of rifle calibre, then everything from .270 to .30-06, will be excellent for the purpose.
Habitat
Rusa deer prefers grassy areas flanked by woodland, as well as forests, woodlands, and timbered farmland.
