About the Species

The Scimitar Horned Oryx is an exciting wild species, originating from its primary habitats in the deserts of Algeria, Burkina Faso, Chad and Egypt. The horns are long, thin and parallel and curve backwards (like a scimitar) and can reach up to a meter and a quarter on both sexes, male and female.

About the Hunt
